UK children's health care charity, specially formed to ensure that children receive the highest standard of care possible. Campaigns on all aspects of healthcare, whether in hospital in the community or at home and from national policies to individual family cases.

Arthritis Action

Charitable organization offering hands-on, practical help for people with arthritis to improve their quality of life whilst living with the condition. Members are offered healthy eating advice, clinical appointments, exercise tips and pain management techniques whether or not they are having medical treatment.

Compassion in Dying

Provides a free information line, publications and resources to help people prepare for the end of life. How to talk about it, plan for it, and record their wishes. Compassion in Dying supports the uptake of existing legal rights and is not involved in Dignity in Dying’s campaign for assisted dying.

E.C.A.S. Equality Choice Action Support

Support people in Edinburgh and Lothian who have a physical disability. Run a wide range of activities to improve confidence, wellbeing and quality of life (for people over 18). Eczema Outreach Support (EOS) 

Eczema Outreach Support offers supports for families of children & young people affected by eczema in the UK. Located in Linlithgow, Scotland.

Epilepsy Scotland

Offers a range of services across Scotland to help support people with epilepsy and their families. Can offer support remotely, one to one, and in groups. Aims is to help people better understand their condition and support them to make positive changes.

Linlithgow Link 

Provide support through social and community activity to those who are isolated by illness, age, or infirmity. E.g. volunteers supply car service to hospitals, befriend housebound people and young mothers, provide social activities for the frail elderly and assisting in running the local monthly Caring Café for those affected by Dementia.

Macmillan Cancer Support  

Information, advice and emotional support for people living with cancer.

MacMillan Deaf Cancer Support Project

Provides virtual emotional and practical support to Deaf people living with cancer across the UK. It also supports their carers, including Deaf people who are supporting a hearing person living with cancer. This is a two year pilot project In partnership with Self Help UK

Maggie's

Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS Society)

Myeloma, also known as multiple myeloma, is a blood cancer arising from plasma cells. Royal Osteoporosis Society

Provides information (understanding osteoporosis; treatment; living with osteoporosis; exercise, diet and lifestyle) plus support and networks for people living with or have been diagnosed with osteoposis (helpline; support in your area). S.M.I.L.E Counselling

Aim to help young people who are struggling with how they feel, are having problems with family or school, anxiety, depression, anger or just need to talk to someone, but find it difficult to talk to those closest to them. Website includes apps and videos covering a range of topics

provides guidelines and patient information plus a forum for discussion and sharing of best practice. 

 

Scottish Hazards

A registered charity whose aim is to reduce injury, ill health and death caused by work/workplaces in Scotland. They provide free and confidential information, advice, support and training to (mainly non-unioinsed) individual employees and groups of employees. Stroke Association

Services supporting people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland through stroke support services (Communication, Emotional and Stroke recovery services plus Post-Stroke Review) funded by NHS or social services, helping them to rebuild their lives. Aims to actively involve young people in decisions affecting them in the delivery of the youth health service in East Renfrewshire. Linked to resources about health, poverty, education, environment etc.

Throat Cancer Foundation
